Lord, we pray together today as a family, that you bless us as we celebrate the glory of summer by bringing your glory to our daily lives. We know that learning does not end when summer begins, but it leaves the classroom and is found at home, in church, nature, and family gatherings. Please help us to nurture our spiritual, physical, emotional, and intellectual growth, until we join together again in August. Keep us safe and healthy. Amen.

GOD BLESS MRS. BRUDER AND MRS. POGACHAR IN A VERY SPECIAL WAY!
It is with sadness and joy that we announce the retirement of two wonderful SPS staff members. Mrs. Elaine Bruder will retire from her position as librarian over the past 19 year, and Mrs. Barb Pogachar will retire from her position as fourth grade teacher. She has been teaching here for 24 years. They have changed our lives by their mere presence and dedication to our children.
We are happy for them, but will miss them greatly. Congratulations!
WALK-A-THON THANK YOU- The PTO would like to thank all who planned, volunteered, sponsored the children and participated to make the Walk-a-thon a wonderful day for the kids, teachers, staff, and parents! We were able to raise money for improving the school stage and sound system!
The PTO would like to thank everyone for their support throughout this school year!! We had a wonderful year! Have a fun and safe summer! See you at the festival!
ALUMNI NEWS- Two St. Peter School alumni have graduated this month from Cleveland-Marshall College of Law. We congratulate Mallory Holmes, daughter of Troy and Michelle Holmes of Lorain, and Karri Ann Peck, daughter of Eugene and Debbie Peck of Amherst, for their accomplishments.
If you or your friends and relatives have graduated from St. Peter School, look for our official alumni organization on Facebook. We invite all alumni to join!
FINANCIAL INFO- Please be sure all financial obligations are paid. Note that no records will be release from the office until all financial statements are current. Thank you to all for your sacrifices for your child’s education here at SPS and his or her future.
PITCHING IN TO KEEP COSTS DOWN- This year we increased our Abitibi recycling from $75 average to $492 in April! Great job! Our gift card purchases are up as well. Let’s work on Market Day, and keep using our Giant Eagle Card and Target charge card to increase those areas.
Don’t forget about those Box Tops for Education! Plan ways you can contribute through participation in these and all fund raisers.
2009-2010-IT WAS A VERY GOOD YEAR
This school year, like every year, seemed to speed by right up to this second to the last week. The students are even saying it went fast! We had many good experiences throughout the year due to our collaboration. Students, parents, and staff joined together with our new pastor to shoulder the responsibility of a parish deficit. Parents volunteered to rally other parents to be a part of it all. Everything new that has begun this year will continue to manifest itself in the next.
Thank you all for your dedication to our school, our second home, the place where your child lives, learns, laughs, and loves. Thank you for sharing your child with us. We look forward to summer and the experiences they will share when they return to us.
Sincerely and gratefully,
Ms. Fabanich
